Mayor of the City of London and the Rest of His Majestys Justices
of the peace for the said City in the General Quarter Session of the
peace for the said City assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Mary
at Marlborough in the County of Wilts.

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals
of Francis Cokayne< no role > Esqr . and Sir Charles Asgill< no role > This name instance is in set 4365. Knight and Baronet two
of the Alderman of the City of London and two of His Majesty's Justices of
the peace for the same City and the Liberties thereof (one being of the Quorum)
bearing Date the Eighteenth Day of February last past Hannah
Johnson
< no role > Wife of John Johnson< no role > who is gone from her (as is alledged in
the said Order or Pass Warrant and their four Children (that is to say) James< no role >
aged Eight Years, John< no role > aged Seven Years, Christopher< no role > aged four Years and
Ann< no role > aged two years were removed from and out of the Parish of Saint
Olave in Silver Street London to the said parish of Saint Mary at
Marlborough as the place of the last legal Settlement of the said John Johnson< no role >
Hannah< no role > his Wife and their said four Children.

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves to be aggrieved
by the said Order or Pass Warrant humbly appeal
to this Honourable Court against the same and
pray Relief in the premisses.
