Mayor of the City of London and the Rest of His Majestys
Justices of Oyer and Terminer and Gaol Delivery of
Newgate holden for the City of London and County of
Middlesex of the Prisoners therein being.

The Humble Petition of Richard Swift< no role > This name instance is in set 3647. .

That Your Petitioner was on the 9th. day of March last past
Committed to Clerkenwell Bridewell by Sr. John Fielding< no role > Knt.
Charged on Oath of Thomas Faques< no role > & others for receiving from James
Gost
< no role > a quantity of Tin Plates tobacco Candles and other goods knowing
them to be Stolen. And Detained on oath of the sd. Thomas Faques< no role > .
and another for receiving 4 bibles and other Books knowing them to
be StolenAlso Detained on oath of the said Thomas Faques< no role > & another for
receiving a great Quantity of Stone blue his property knowing the
Same to be StolenAlso Detained on Oath of George Ewbank< no role > & anor.
for receiving 28 Yards of Cotton knowing the same to be Stolen. Also
Detained on Oath of Thomas Lloyd< no role > for receiving 6 Dogen of Mold
Candles the Property ofBull the Huntingdon Carrier. knowing
them to be Stolen. And Your petitioner hath been informed that
there will be Prosecutions Commenced for diverse offences of the like
Nature said to have been perpetrated in the City of London and of
which he is Intirely Innocent.

Your Petitioner therefore most Humbly Prays
That he may (for the above Offences. as well
as Such other as may be laid to his Charge)
At this Present Session be Tried. Bailed or
Discharged according to the form of the Statute
in Such Case made and provided

And Your Petitioner shall ever Pray
