this day at ye Burning a Paper Called the North
Breton No 45 Pursuant to an Order of the House of Lords
and Comons for ye Burning the said Paper by the hands of the
Comon Hangmen

being Sworns Declared upon his oath
That as Mr Sheriff Harley was Coming to the Royal
Exchange on Saturday the 3d Day of December 1763
to attend the Burning the said Paper Several Persons
there Assembled Hissed & Throw Mud amongst the
Constables who attended ye Burning the said Paper
That he saw the Paper Thrown into the Fire and that
after the Paper was Set on Fire Mr Sheriff Harley
Returned to his Chariot & Got into his Cheriot
That thereupon The Sheriffs Coachman Endevaoured
to Turn the Chariot round to Go Back from the Exchange
towards Cheapside
That the Horses being Frightened The Coachman
met with Difficulty in Turning the Chariot round
That the Chariot being in that Situation The Prisoner

took one of the Sticks of a Faggot
out of the Fire & Throw it with Violence against the
Front Glass of the Chariot, Mr Harley & another Gentleman
Being then in the Chariot & Broke the Glass of ye Chariot
And at the same time This Deponent heard the Prisoner
say there Words Damn you kill, em, But whether he
meant by that Expression Kill him or Kill them This
Deponent Cannot say, But says upon his Oath that
He heard the Prisoner Pronounce ye Word Kill
That upon this Mr Cook the City Marshal went to
Assist Mr Harley to Get out of his Chariot Upon which
He saw another Stick Thrown by another Person who
