The King against Robert Stimpson< no role > and William Bailey< no role >

Mary Jones< no role > of Great Tower Street London widow maketh Oath that she
this Deponent was bound by two several Recognizance in the Sum of One
Hundred Pounds for the Appearance of the said Robert Stimpson< no role > and William
Bailey
< no role > at the Session of Oyer and Terminer holden for this City in the
Month of October One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty one to take
their Trial on an Indictment against them for a Misdemeanor And this
Deponent saith that the said William Bailey< no role > appeared at the said Session
and took his Trial on the said Indictment but the said Robert Stimpson< no role >
absconded and did not appear to take his Trial to the great Grief of this
Deponent by Reason whereof her said Recognizance as to the Said Robert
Stimpson became forfeited and this Deponent saith that at the Session of
Oyer and Terminer holden for this City in the Month of October One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Sixty two the Court was moved to respite this Deponent
said Recognizance generally with Liberty for this Deponent to apply
again and this Deponent saith that in Pursuance of the Directions of the
Court she hath used her utmost Endeavours to find out the Said Robert
Stimpson and
< no role > hath ever since been in hopes of getting some Information
where he was to be met with but this Deponent saith that notwithstanding
she hath made very diligent Enquiry of Persons acquainted with the said
Robert Stimpson< no role > she hath not been able to hear any thing of him
and believes that the is gone abroad into foreign parts to avoid the said
Prosecution and that he will not return to England any more and this
Deponent saith that the said Robert Stimpson< no role > not appearing as aforesaid
was not occasioned by any wilful Default or Neglect of her this Deponent
and humbly hopes that this Honourable Court will be pleased to respite this
Deponents said Recognizance without Day for if the same should be
estreated
