The King against Warren & other
by Indictment for Conspiracy

Robinson Yarp< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. Clerk to Edmund Thomas Warren< no role > of King Street
Covent Garden in the County of Middlesex Stock Broker maketh
Oath and saith that his Master the said Edmund Thomas Warren< no role >
(who is a Defendant in this Indictment as this Deponent is
Informed and verily believes) is and hath been for these three
Weeks last past and upwards out of Town on most Material
Business to him the said Mr. Warren, and this Deponent further saith
that he very lately saw a Letter from him Dated at Dartmouth
the Twenty first day of this Instant october where this Deponent
verily Believes he then was about such Material Business
And in such Letter says he cannot finish his said Business untill
the end of the then next Week or to that Purpose so that his Stay there
much inevitably be some time Longer And this Deponent further
saith that the said Mr. Warren cannot attend the Tryal of this
Indictment this Present Sessions for the reasons aforesaid & also
is not absent on any Account Relative to this Indictment or to
Delay or hinder the Tryal thereof but only on the said most
Material Business as this Deponent Verily and Wally believes
And this Deponent further saith he also verily believes that the
said Mr. Warren will at the next general Sessions of Oyer and
Terminer and general Goal Delivery for the City of London
defend himself against the said Indictment And Lastly this
Deponent saith that on the Twenty second day of this Instant
October he this Deponent served one John Morris< no role > (who this
Deponent is Informed and verily believes is the Prosecutor of the
Indictment) with a True Copy of the Notice of Motion hereunto
annexed by delivering the same to his woman servant Elizabeth
Bevan
< no role > at his House or Lodging in Bolton Street Piccadilly in
the County of Middlesex who Promised to deliver him the said
Notice

Sworn at Justice hall
in the Old Bailey the 26th.
of October 1757 .
