Maketh Oath That on Monday the fourth and
wednesday the thirteenth Days of October Instant He this Deponent
went to the Corn Market in Mark Lane
London to inquire into the
Price of Middling English Oats and on such Inquiry He found that the
Common Market Price of Midling English Oats on each of the said
Respective Days exceeded Sixteen Shillings the Quarter And saith
that Middling English Oats were on each of the said respective Days
commonly bought and sold in the said Market at the Prices of Seventeen
and Eighteen Shillings the Quarter And lastly this Deponent saith That
he is neither Corn Chandler Mealman Factor Merchant or other
Person interested in Oats to be imported And that he this Deponent
is as Housekeeper living in the County of Surry and is now seized
of a Lease hold Estate of Fifty Pounds a year above all Charges
and Reprizes and is also Skilfull in the Prices of Oats
