The Information of Mary Maine< no role > takentouching the death
of St: George H: Square Single woman

This Informant Saith that about Eight o Clock on Wednesday
Night last She was Sent for to Mr. Venables to make the Captains
Bed And that the made great Complaint of the Night of Venables
& his Wife, That She Staid half and hour there and then went away
that upon going back again to Mr. Wards She there found Mrs
Venables whom She told that she had been making the Captain's
bed and that She had been drinking Some Porter with thin, That
Mrs. Venables then said She wod go and Crack a Pot with him
That about a Quarter before Ten She went to ash Mr. Venablesher
Husband being out to come andlye with herSup with her but
Nobody Answer'd That about a Quarter af [..] Eleven o Clock.
She work to ask his to come and lye with her as She had done Several Nights before & locking thro' the
they hole Saw Venables coming Down Stairs who Swore he would be
damn'd if She was at home and desired this Informant to go to the
Black Lyon to Enquire after her, that upon neturning Soon afterwd
he camedown Stainto the Door with her Hays in his Hand who Said he had
Caught them inBed togetherthe very fact. & there was h [..] Stay Sr. That soon
afterwards the Captain Passdthanhim in the Entry holding his Hand
to his Belly with his Shirt Bloody, that upon her asking him to
come in he answer'd No No I'm Undone I'm a Dead Man
