We whose Names are hereunder written being four of the Eight
Workmen duly named (according to the Directions of an Act of Parliament
in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of King George the first for the better
Regulating of Buildings and to prevent Mischiefs that may happen by
Fire within the Weekly Bills of Mortality and other Places therein
mentioned) to view the Timber Partitions and Brick Walls intended
to be pulled down belonging to a Messuage or Tenement of or belonging
to Messrs. William Hutton< no role > and John Hutton< no role > and now or late in the
Tenure or Occupation of Mrs. Ann Dunn< no role > Milliner and adjoining East on
the Premisses intented to be rebuilt pursuant to the said Act of or
belonging to Mr. John Dobey< no role > and near Castle Yard on the South Side
of Holborn in the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborne in the City of
London, And having accordingly viewed the said Timber Partitions and
Brick Walls Do humbly certifie that the said Timber Partitions and
Brick Walls so intended to be pulled down as aforesaid are defective
and ruinous and ought to be pulled down And we further humbly
certifie that the other four of the said Workmen duly named with no
as aforesaid to wit George Hoare< no role > Richard Norris< no role > Richard Jupp< no role > and
Leonard Dix< no role > have also conformably to the said Act viewed with as the
said Timber Partitions and Brick Walls and at the Time of taking [..]
such View thereof They the said George Hoare< no role > Richard Norris< no role > Richard
Jupp
< no role > and Leonard Dix and every of them as we believe in Combination
and Confedracy with the said William Hutton< no role > and John Hutton< no role > did
and each of them hath absolutely refused to make any Certificate in
Writing under their Hands pursuant to be said Act All which is
most humbly certified and submitted to your great Wisdoms Dated this
Twelfth day of August 1755
