of John Bambrey< no role >

Jeremiah Ewins< no role > the Deft in this Cause Maketh Oath Lud
Sayth that in July Sessions one Thousand Seven Hundred and
Fifty three the said Prosecutor John Bambrey< no role > fomed a Bill of
Indictment against this Deponent and me Thomas Gorden< no role > (who
is now in the Prison of the Fleet ) for Assaulting and Pumting
the said prosecutor in the Prison of the Fleet he this Deponent
and the said Thomas Gadon bring in the said Prison for Debt
And this Deponent Saith that the said Prosecutor John Bambrey
Lodged a Judges Warrant against this Deponent and the said Thomas
Gorden And this Deponent was Detained three Months upon the said
Judges Warrant after he had supesended the action upon wch this
Deponent was arrested upon. and during which time the's Depont.
Wife Lay'd in with Child and was in great Distress and Must
have Perished had it not been for the Assistancehe andhis
Wife had from Saint James's Parish and this Deponent saith
that he has since his Enlargement been out of all Manner of
Business whatsoever and this Deponent saith that he some
time also spoke with his this Deponents off ther (who is a Man
of Fortune) worth above Five hundred pounds a yearr at Watford in Halford [..] when he told this Deponent he would do Notting
for him for he told this Deponent that one Compton (who
as this Dept. beleives was attorney for the said (Prosecutor)
and that the said told this Deponents Father that the said
Presecutor Would have Fifty pounds to make an End of
this Prosecution [..] and this Deponent saith & at thro' the
applycattion of the sd Compton and the said prosecutor [..] to this
Depts. Father has Entirely sett this Deponent Father against
him on whom this Deponent had great Dependance and thro'
this Deponents [..] ty and by the means aforesaid this Dept.
has not been to get any money to Try the Traverse on the above
Prosecution before the time And this Deponent Double not but
if he is permitted by this Honble Court Pleas'd and Try this Tranverse now that he
shall be able to [..] prove his Ennocence
