on ye. first of Octr. in the
24th. year of his Majestys Reign And at divers other times between the sd. First day of October in the
24th. year afsd. & ye. 2nd day of January in the same Year with force & Arms at London afsd. in the parish
of St. Nicholas Coleabby
in the Ward of Breadstreet
unlawfully & unjustly had & kept Two pair of
false Scales which wanted in the draught of the same One quarter of a pound weight each
pair to make them of an equal & due ballance She the Said

then & there
well knowing the sd. two pair of Seales to be defective of their equal & due ballance as is afsd.
with intent to deceive & defraud the Subject of our Lord the King by selling to them divers goods
wares & merchandizes by the sd. two pair of false Scales to the Eirl Example of al others in the
like Case offending and agt. the peace of our sd. Lord the King his Crown & Dignity.
