To the Porter of Bridewell
Hospital
in the City of London , and also to all
Constables and other Officers whom it
may concern, to receive and convey. And
to the Church Wardens, Chappel-Wardens,
or Overseers of the Poor, of the Parish
of Saint James in Westminster
in the County of Middlesex
or either of them, to receive and obey.

WHEREAS Mary Marvin< no role > aged about twelve years
now a prisoner in Bridewell Hospital London
was
apprehended in the City of London [..]
as Rogue and Vagabond to wit loitering about and begging
in Fleet market London about six weeks ago for which
she was committed to the said Hospital
and upon Examination of the said Mary Marvin
taken before me this Day upon Oath (which
Examination is hereunto annexed) it doth appear that the last legal
Settlement of the said Mary Marvin is in the said Parish
of Saint James in Westminster .

These are therefore to require you the said Porter of Bridewell
or other Officer to Convey the said Mary Marvin< no role >
in the next direct Way to the said Parish
of Saint James in Westminster and there to deliver
to some Church-Wardens, Chappel-Warden, or Overseer of the Poor
there, to be provided for according to Law. And you the said
Church-Warden, Chappel-Warden, or Overseer of the Poor, are hereby
required to receive the said Mary Marvin
and provide for her
as aforesaid. Given under my Hand and Seal this Sixth Day
February in the Year of our Lord 174 4
