Be it Remembred that on theThirtieth Day of Novemberfirst Day of Decr in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred &
Forty four in the City of London Charles Jones< no role > one of the Marshall of this City cometh in his Proper Person before us Henry
Marshall
< no role > Esqr . Lord Mayor of the sd. City of London & Sr. Robt. Ladbroker< no role > Knt . one of the Aldn . of the said City two of his
Majestys Justices Assigned to keep the Peace in for the said City And also to hear and Determine Diverse Felonys
Trespasses & other Offences Committed within the said City And giveth Informantions to us the Same Justices that Francis Baker< no role >
[..] of the Parish of St. Christopher le Stocks within the City of London aforesaid after the Twenty First day of December
in theYearof our Lord 1721 to wit on the 29th. day of Novr. in the Year of our Lord 1744 Did in the Same Parish within the
City aforesd. Keeper Office under the Denomination of a Sale of Plate and Jewells for the Improvement of Small Sums of money and
did then & there Expose to sale certain Plate & Jewells by way of Lottery by TickettsUnnumbred And did at the Same time
and Place aforesaid Publick a Scheme or proposal for the selling by Subscription the same Plate & Jewells Supposed to be of
the Value of Three thousand pounds in Sixty thousand Shares at One Shilling each Share the said Plate & Jewells to be
Divided Among the Proprietors of such shares by the Chances of the Prizes in the Publick Lottery Established and
Allowed by an Act of Parliamt. made at a session of Parliamt. held at Westmr. Oathe 1st. day of Decr. in the 17th. Year
of the Reign of his present Majesty Entituled an Act for raising by Annuities, and a Lottey in Manner therein mentioned
the Sum of One Million eight hundred thousand pounds, at Three Pounds per Centumper Annum for the Service of the Year
one thousand seven hundred and forty four
And on the Same 29th. day of Novr. in the sd Year of our Lord 1744 Ab London Aforesaid Ab the Parish aforesaid Did
Deliver out two of the said Ticketts to One Wm. Martinsdale< no role > for & in Cons of 2s. of Lawfull money of this Realm by him Advanced
for the same to Entitle him to the Chance of 2 Shares of the plate & Jewels aforesd. According to teh Scheme aforesd.
Contrary to the form of the Statute in that Case made & provided And thereupon Afterwards to wit On the 5th. day of
Decr in the said Year four Lord 1744 Ab Justice Hall in the Old Bailey in the City of London aforesd. the aforesaid
Wm. Martindale< no role > of London Yeoman One of the Marshall Men belonging to the sd. City of London being a Credible
Witness in this behalf cometh in his Own proper person before us the sd. Justices And now heretaketh has Corporal Oath
upon the Holy Gospell of God to Speak the Truth of & upon the premes in the Information aforesd above Specifyed before as
the sd. Justices now here having Suffts. power & Authority to Administer the said Oath to the sd. Wm. Martinsdale< no role > in this
behalf And the sd. Wm. Martindale< no role > being now here Is Sworn before us the said Justices & having heard the sd. Information
nowheardhere read to him Doth upon his Oath aforesd. Say Depose & Swear that the sd. Francis Baker< no role > in the sd.
Information mentioned on the sd. 29th. day of Novr. in the sd. year on our Lord 1744 Ab London aforesaid At the
Parish of St. Chrisr . le Sticks Did keep an Office under the Denomination of a Sale of Plate & Jewells for the
Improvemt. of small sume of money And did then & their Expose to sale Plate & Jewells Supposed to be of the Value
of £3000 by way of Lottery by Ticketts Numbred & then & there did Publish a Scheme or Proposal for Selling by
Subscription the sd. Plate & Jewells in 60,000 Shares at One Shilling each Share The sd. Plate & Jewells to be
Divided among the Proprietors of such Shares by the Chances of the Prizes in the Publick Lottery mentioned in the
sd Information And the sd. Fras. Baker Did then & there Deliver out to him the sd. Wm. Martindale< no role > two Ticketts
Numbred for & in Consideration of Two Shillings of Lawfull money of this Realm by him then & there Advanced &
