The humble Petition and Appeale of the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of St
Martin in the Fields
in the County of Middlesex
Sheweth
That by Virtue of a Pass under the Hand and Seal of the
Right Honourable

Lord Mayor
of the
City of London
and Liberties thereof and one of his Majesties
Justices of the Peace
for the said City and Liberties bearing Date
the twenty third Day of May last past

Singlewoman
who as in the said Pass is alledged was apprehended
in the City of London
wandring abroad and begging as a Rogue and
Vagabond was conveyed to the said Parish of St. Martin in the
Fields
as the Place of her last legal Settlement whereby your
Petitioners are aggrieved
Therefore they humbly appeale to this Court against
the said Pass and pray that they may have Relief
in the Premisses.
And your Petitioners will ever pray and so forth
