At the General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the
City of London at the Guild hall within the said City on Monday the
Eleventh day of April in the Sixteenth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc. before
Robert Willimott< no role > Esqr . Mayor of the City at London Simon Valin< no role >
Esqr . Recorder of the said City Sir Edward Bellamy< no role > Knight
Henry Marshall< no role > Esqr . & Samuel Pennant< no role > Esqr . Aldermen of
the sd. City And others their Fellows Justices assigned to keep the
Peace of our said Lord the King within the said City and also to
hear & determine divers Felonies Trespasses & other Misdeeds
Committed within the said City

Whereas Henry Bishop< no role > and Sarah< no role > his Wife by Vertue of an Order
or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of two of his Majesties
Justices of the Peace for the City of London (one being of the Quorum)
bearing date the tenth day of March 1742 were sent & delivered by
the Overseers of the poor of the Precinet of Whitefryers London to
the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Mary
Aldermanbury London upon the Oath of the said Sarah and Other
Circumstances that the last legal Settlement of her said husband is in
the Parish of St. Mary Aldermanbury London Now upon hearing the
Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary Aldermanbury against
the Warrant & Judgment of the said two Justices in the Presence and
hearing of the Overseers of the Poor of the said Precinct of
Whitefryers who Consented to have the Appeal Allowed and the Order
Quashed It is thereupon Ordered by this Court that the Warrant and
Judgment of the said two Justices be Quashed and the Appeal allowed
Accordingly and that they the said Henry Bishop< no role > & Sarah< no role > his Wife be
Sent back and Delivered to the Overseers of the Poor of the said
Precinct of Whitefryers London to be by them Maintained and
Provided for untill they Can Free themselves from the Charge
thereof by due Course of Law.
