much incumbred and by reason of the long polls fixed to the sd. Charis divers
persons passing there are hurt, that those polls extend the wedth of
a whole Shop, and if any one wants to be set down out of a & each or
come cross the way where these polls are they must be forced
round about the same, which is a great prejudice to the Inhabitants in the day time

avoid those polls and by that means are often thrown down

That the Inhabitants and passengers are not only in coin oded in manner
as above by the Chairs and polls against their Shops, but by the Chairmen
who lounge about their Shopwindows all the day long and when they
are bid to depart from against a Shop door instead of complying
therewith they abuse and rudely treat the Shop keepers
That there is aworse consequence attends this great nusance than any
already menconed to wit the indecent behaviour of the Chairman in
their comon conversation (for they generally stand in Clusters) The Men for
the most part are Ireishmen and greatly advised to Swearingin their
comon conversation amongest with one anotherand getting Drunk
and then they are Quarrelling one with another either for affair or for a
place with their Chairs which sometimes comes to Blows and then
a tumult is raised in the Sheet which is the occasion of so many
Pockets being Pickt about Temple Barr in the winter Season
That by the frequent Swearing, Cursing and Tilthy discourse of the
Chairmen at he Doors of the Inhabitants their Servants and Children's
morrals are greatly in danger of being corrupted.
That because no prosecution has been carryed on against them
since they were first Presented by the Grand Jury at the old Bayly about
6 Months agoe the Men are more audatious than before because
they now apprehend that the Inhabitants have no remedy against
