This Indenture, made the Tenth Day of July in the Tenth
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God, of Great-
Britain, France, and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, Etc. And om the Year of our Lord 17 36 Witnesseth, That
William Lovell< no role > Edward Walmesley< no role > & John King< no role > Church Wardens of the Parish of St
Sepulchres in the Liberty of the City of London And John Nevill< no role >
Jasper Smith< no role > and John Charfeild< no role > Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish, by and with the Consent of two of H is Majesty's Justices of the of the peace of the said City
whose Names are hereunto subscribed, have put and placed, and by these Presents do put and place William Perkins< no role >
aged Eleven Years the Eleventh Day of August last, a poor Child of the said Parish, Apprentice to
Matthias Wilson< no role > of the parish of Christ Church in the County of Surry Cork Cutter
with h im to dwell and serve from the Day of the Date of these Presents, until the said Apprentice shall accomplish h is full Age of
Twenty four Years according to the Statute in that Case made and provided: During all which Term, the said Apprentice
h is said M aster faithfully shall serve in all lawful Businesses, according to h is Power, Wit, and Ability; and honesty, orderly, and
obediently in all Things demean and behave h im self towards h is said M aster and all h is during the said Term. And the said
Matthias Wilson< no role > for h im self, h is Executors and Administrators, doth Covenant and Grant to and with the said Churchwardens
and Overseers, and every of them, their and every of their Executors and Administrators, and their and every of their Successors for the
time being, by these presents, That the said Matthias Wilson< no role > the said Apprentice in the art on Trade of a Cork Cutter
which he now useth shall & will teach & Instruct or Cause to be Instructed And shall and will, during all the Term afore-
said, find, provide and allow unto the said Apprentice, meet, competent, and sufficient Meat, Drink and Apparel, Lodging, Wash-
ing, and all other Things necessary and fit for an Apprentice . And also shall and will provide for the said Apprentice, that he be not
any way a Charge to the said Parish, or Parishioners of the same; but of and from all Charge shall and will save the said Parish and Parishio-
ners harmless and indemnified during the said Term. And at the end of the said Term, shall and will make, provide, allow, and deliver
unto the said Apprentice double Apparel of all sorts, good and new, (that is to say) a good new Suit for the Holy-days, and another for
the Working-days. In Witness whereof, the Parties abovesaid to these present Indentures interchangeably have set their Hands and Seals
the Day and Year above-written.
