by the same in form aforesd. Well knowing the Same Weight to be false
as aforesd. to ye great deceipt & damage of the sd: Persons to the Evil
Example of all others in the like Case offending & agt. the Peace
of our Lord the King his Crown & dignity And also Agt. the form
of the Statute in Such Case Made & provided And the Jurors
aforesd: upon their sd. oath further present that the sd. John
Oldershaw on the said Twenty Eighth day of Decr. in the Year aforesd:
stet &at divers others days & times between the sd: 28thday of Decr.
in the Year, last aforesd:at divers other & times between the sd.
28th. day of Decr. in the Year last aforesd
& the Day of the
taking of this Inquisiton at London aforesd. in the Parish & Ward
aforesd. Unlawfully & deceiptfully had in his Custody One false
Leaden Weight pretended to be Nine pound Weight which Same
Leaden Weight then wanted three quarters of an Ounce of its just
and due Weight according to the Standard of the Kings Exchequer
And he the sd. John Oldershaw< no role > then & there Well knowing the sd
Weight to be defective of its due & just Weight as is aforesd. with
intent to deceive & defraud his Majestys Subjects by Selling to them
goods & Merchandizes by the sd. false Weight last above menconed to
the Evill Example of all others in the who Case offending & agt: the peace
of our sd. Lord the King his Crown & dignity & to forth
