This Examinant being charged upon the Oath
of Henry Johnson< no role >
of the Navy Office
London Gent
with Suspicon of having feloniously stealing
several Bank Notes the Property of the said
Mr Johnson Saith that Thomas Littleton< no role >
of
the Navy Office
Gent
lay at this Examint. house
on Saturday night last and he and this
Examt.on Sunday Morning followingafter walking in the Willow walk
near the
Mill Bank
on Sunday Morning followingsometimethey returned to this
Examts. house where they dined and set drinking
all the Afternoon And the sd. Thomas Littleton< no role >
proposed & told this Examt. that he could put
three thousand Pounds into his [..] this Examt.
Pocket [..] upon which this Examt. saith you
had better put it into your own meaning the
said Thomas Littleton< no role >
After which Conversacon
he this Examt. went with Littleton [..] to the
Navy Office
and after Littleton had borrowed a
Candle they be the went into the sd. Mr Johnson's
Office where they were two Books one of which
this Examt opened where [..] there was
nothing but the Book itself and the other Book
was opened by Littleton wherein there were
sevl. papers which this Examt. beleives were
Bank Bills and which were taken away by Littleton and this Examt. & Littleton went to a
Tavern near Billingsgate
where Littleton changed
a twenty pound Bank note with the master of
the house and this Examt. reced of Littleton ten
Guineas part of the sd. £20. And this Examt. & beleives
that the Note so changed by Littleton was one of the
