Sheweth


That your Petitioners being Inhabitants and Householders in
the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldersgate London were in an Assessment
made by the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish the twenty
Ninth Day of May 1734. Rated or Assessed for and towards the Relief of the Poor of
the said Parish in the Severall Sums of Money therein mentioned which Rater's
not only Unequal but also (as your Petitioners are advised) in many respects
Illegal and unwarrantable Wherefore your Petitioners Conceive themselves
agrieved by the said Sesson Tax as Illegal and unequal said do appeal to your
Lordship and Worships therefrom.

said Rate may be Quashed according the
Prayer of the said Petition
