At the General Quarter Sessions of the peace held for the City of London
by adjournment at Guild hall of the said City on Tuesday the Fourteenth
day of January 1734 .

Upon hearing the Petition and appeal of Burrell Blythe< no role > an Inhabitant in
the parish of Christ Church London Setting forth That he is an Occupyer
of one house in the said parish and pays the Rent and Taxes of it That
for the Year One Thousand Seven hundred and Thirty two he was Rates
by the Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish in
much larger Sumes of Money than he ought to have been towards the
Releif of the poor And that diverse Inhabitants and occupyers of
Houses within the said parish paying as large and others much
larger Rents than he the said Burrell Blythe and whose Trade and
Circumstances do Exceed or at least Equall his the said Burrell Blythe's
Are Rated for that year in much less Sames of Money than he the said
Burrell Blythe< no role > And That the said Rate is Unequall Arbitrary and
Illegall And Praying that the said Rate may be Quashed. It is therefore
now Ordered by this Court that the said Petition and Appeal be adjourned
till the next Sessions of the peace to be held for the said City of London And
that in the mean time the Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor
of the said parish do permitt and for the Appellant to Inspect their
Books of Rates for the said year One Thousand Seven hundred and Thirty
Two to Transcribe the names of such persons Unequally Rated to be
Produced to this Court on hearing the said Appeal And that the Appellant
Do give the Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish
a Copy of Such Transcript To the end that this Court may be the
better enabled to determine the same
