Maketh Oath that on Wednesday last by the Direction of the Defendant
in this Cause he left a Notice at the house of the Prosecutor Peter Hawkins< no role >
that the said Defendant would try his traverse in this cause this persent
Sessions Andthatthis Deponent further Saith that he also Subpenaed
Several Witness on the behalf of the said Defendant to give their
Evidence at the said Tryal And this Deponent attended as the sessions
house in the Old Bailey
Yesterday in Order to know when she said
Tryal would come on And this Deponent Saith that he was there
Informed and then Verily beleived that she said Tryal could mot come
on untill this day and that Several Prisoners were to be tryed And
therefore this Deponent Informed She Defendant that she said
Cause could not come on untill this day And this Depenent
further Saith he verfy beleives that she real Intention of the
Defendant was to try this cause Sessions this Deponent
having necessary Instructions for that purpose
