Whereas Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St. Ethelburga
London, That Robert Hamilton< no role > aged abt. forty years Ann his
wife aged thirty years, & his five children Namesly four daughters
Ann tenn years, of Age Frances Eight years, Sarah five years, &
Isabella afortnight old, And one Soneciamly Robert about the
age of two years, have Intruded themselves into
your said Parish not having obtained any legal Settlement
there, and Are likely to become Chargeable thereto,
by Reason of their great poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And foras much
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the sd. Robert Hamilton< no role > Victualler
That he did about the year of our Lord 1715 Rent a House
in the parish of Alhallows London Wall for upwards of nine
years & pay yearly for the same for four years of that time
twenty nine pounds, And that he likewise paid all manner
of Parochial & Duties & taxes And That he the sd. Hamilton
have
not obtain d any subsequent Settlement. We the said
Justices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the
last legal Settlement of the said Robert Hamilton< no role > Ann< no role > his
wife Ann< no role > Frances< no role > Sarah< no role > & Isabella< no role > his daughters also
of Robert< no role > his sone to be
in the said Parish of Alhollows London Wall in the
sd City of London and that thitherto
They ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the said Robert Hamilton< no role > & Anne< no role >
his wifes Ann, Frances, Sarah & Isabella, his daughters, also Robert
his Sone
from and out of your said Parish of St. Ethelburga
London, to the said Parish of
Alhollows London Wall in the sd. City of London
and them leave with
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or
one of them, who is and are hereby required to receive
and Provide for Them according to Law. Hereof sail
not, and this shall be your Warrant. Given under our
Hands and Seals the 2d. Day of August Anno
Domini 17 31 Annoq; Regni, Regis Georgij 2di Etc. 5th.
