The Examination and Confession of Christopher
Joice
< no role > taken before me Sr. Wm. Billers< no role > Knt . & Aldrn
and one of his majestyes Justices of the Peace for
the said City of London this 14th. Day of July 1730

This Examinant Confesseth and Saith
that this Morning between the hours of one and
two of the Clock as he was comeing up water Lane
Black fryers London one Thomas Watson< no role > who was
in Company with one Edward Mitchum< no role > called
to this Examint. and Asked him to give him a
pint of Beer upon which this Examint. made
answer he could not for he had Cut three half
pence in his pockett And this Examint. further Saith
that the said Thomas Watson< no role > made Answer that he
could Afford to give him this Examinant a pint or
two if he would goe with them to Mr. Abrahams
Skettle Ground And this Examint. further Saith that
he this Examint. together with the said Thomas
Watson & Edward Mitchum [..] gott over the piles
of Deals belonging to Mr. Bridgeman into the Yard
of the said Mr. Abraham and that the said Thomas
Watson did take on to pane of Glass out of a Casemt.
& open the same by which he gott into the house
of the said Abraham And this Examinant further
Saith that the said Thomas Watson< no role > did Open the
Yard Door of the said house and lett this Examint.
in & ordered Mitchum to Stand in the Street to
receive what they should bring out [..] And this
Examint. further Saith that he this Examint. & the
Said Thomas Watson< no role > did take thereout three Brass
Candlesticks some Linnen 4 pewter potts & a Water
man Filt that they ropt the same in the said Filt
And this Examint further saith that he this
Examint. with the said Thomas Watson< no role > & Edward
Mitchum did hid the same in a Lighter at
Street Ditch & further saith not
