Upon an Indictment for the Murder of Edward
Anne.

Francis Peters< no role > of the Inner Temple London Gentleman and Hugh Watson< no role > of the
Midle Temple Gentleman Sollrs. for the Defend make Oath a follow and first these
Francis Peters< no role > saith that the Drat. of the special Verdict found upon this Indictment was
delivered by the Agents for the prosecuters to thin Department on the Tenth day of [..]
one Thousand Seven hundred and Twenty nine And bath these Depart say that we
dal: thereof was delivered to or reced by them or either of them to the Knowledge ofbefore that Time And this Deponent Hugh Watson< no role > saith that he did on the
Fifth of December following deliver back to Mr. Parts the Dea: amended by the
Defend this Councel and that such Dec: was the Twenty sixth of the same
December redelivered to this Deponent day the said Mr Paxton and most of the
Kings Council And on the Twelfth of Janry [..] this Deponant [..]
back to the said Mr Paxton the said Draught insisting on most of the
Amendments so as aforesaid made by the Defendts. Councel with a paper
containing reasons for such Amendments and Amongst other that the Particulars
the Verdict found by the Jury or to that Effect And both these Deftonts.
say that an Attendance on or about the Thirtyth of the same January was had
before Mr Justice Page assisted by Mr Baron Carter< no role > and Mr Serjt: Raly
who had both been present at the Defend. Tryal When Mr. Justice
Page was pleased to order Mr Tanner to draw up the Verdict according
to and in a Literal Translation of the Minutes Which as these Defend. belive
was accordingly done and delivered to the Prosecutors and Defendants
Agents notwithstanding which this Deponent Francis Peter< no role > did about
the Nineteenth of this Instant Febry. receive from th e Agent for the
Prosecutors a new paper Wrote in two Collumns in one of which was
