WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Buttolph witht. Aldersgate

is lately come into
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto reason of her age and poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Mary Philpot
that her said late husband was an House keeper at
the rent of ten pounds P and P upwards for the space
of five years & upwards till about three years ago
& has assessed & paid to the poor in the parish of St.
Sepulchres
in the County of Middx
& that she hath
not obtain d any subsequent Settlement We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Mary Philpot
to be in the said
Parish of St. Sepulchres in the County of Middx and
that thitherto she ought by Law to be sent

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the said Mary Philpot
from and out of your said Parish of St.Buttolph without
Aldersgate London, to the said Parish of St. Sepulchres in
the County of Middlesex and her leave with the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for her
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the
