To the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. Buttolph & witht Bpsgate
London, and the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Hamlet of Spittlefield
in the Pish of St. Dunsham at
Stepney in the County of Middx}
respectively.

WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Buttolph witht Bpsgate
London, That Edward Guidney< no role > with Martha< no role > his
wife & two Children Joseph< no role > aged about three years
& Elizabeth< no role > aged about one year are lately come
into
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto by reason of their extream poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Edward Guidney
that about six years ago he was an Appntice to Mr John
Durrant
< no role > a Broad Stuff Weaver in the Hamlet of Spittle
fields in the Pish of St. Dunstan at Stepney in the County
of Middx & that by any ane and what soever he hath
not obtain d any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Edward Guidney Martha his
wife & sd. two Children Joseph & Elizabeth to be in the said
Hamlet Parish & County aforesaid and
that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re
quire You to remove and convey the said Edward Guidney
Martha his wife & two Children Joseph & Elizabeth
from and out of your said Parish of St. Buttolph without
Bpsgate London, to the said Hamlet of Spittle feilds in the
Pish & County aforesd and them leave with the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one or them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the sixth
Day of March Anno Domini 1724
