The Examinacon and confession of John Merrey
als Reynolds taken before one of his Maties
Justices of the Peace for the City of Lonon
Who confesseth and saith that about 5 or Six weekes aged
as he this Examinant was walking at Fleet ditch, one Anthony
Wallraven came to him, and told him this Examinant that
if he would goe off his Errands, he the said Wallraven would
give him meal and drink, and accordingly they agreed
and after he this Examinant hath been with him some
time, he and the said Wallraven went to Sell several pair
of Dice with false Stamps or marks and that the said
Wallraven need to point out to him what shops he this
Examinant should goe into, to sell the said Dice which
the said Wallraven stood at a Distance, and the said
Wallraven used to sell this Examinant that she should
sell the Dice for what he could get, and if he was
questioned about them, he should say he had them at ye
Groom porters, And lastly this Examinant saith and
confesseth that at several times he hath sold at Several
Places about Twelve pari of the said Dice for two
Shillings, Eighteen pence and Twelve pence P Paris, but
at the time of the selling such dice soe counterfeit
