Whereas Fane Nailer< no role > Single woman waken or about the three &
Twenty at Day of February in the year afour Lord one Thousand
Seven Hundred Twenty & one delivered of a Female Bastard Child
in the Parish of St. Peter the Poor in the City of London Baptized by the
Name of Elizabeth< no role > which said Female Bastard Child is become chargeable
to the said Parish & is likely so to continued wherefore We whose Name
are hereunto Sett Two of His Majtys Justices of the Peace for the said
City (Quord unus) and beth of us residering next to the Limitts where

upon the Complaint of the Chuchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish aforesaid taken upon us the hearing and Exaincon of the
Cause and Circumstances of the Prmisses Defind upon the Exaiacon
of the said Fane Nailer taken upon Oath and other Proofs That William
Leister
< no role > , a Seaman did begett the said Female Bastard Child Whereupon
we do adjudge the said William Leister to be the reputed Father of the said
Female Bastard Child And do Order that he the said William Leister
Shall on Sight of this our Order pay or cause to be paid unto the Church
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Peter the Poor
some or one of them the sume of Six Pounds & Ten pence of lawfull
money of Great Brittain so much being by them already expended
for and towards the Maintenance of the said Female Bastard Child
and other incident Charges and Expences And also That he the said Wm.
Leister shallon Tuesday in every Week, weekly from and after the Date
here of So long as the said Female Bastard Child shall continued chargeable
to the said Parish paryor cause to be paid unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the sate Parish the Sume of two Shillings and
Six pence of like lawfull money for and towards the Maintenance of
the said Female Bastard Child In Witness whereof we the said
Justices have here unto Sett our hands this Fourteenth Day of May
Anno Din 1723 .
