Whereas Elizabeth Kellum< no role > Singlewoman was about
the Fourteenth day of March last past delivered of a
Female Bastard Child named Elizabeth < no role > in the Parish of St.
Stephen in Colemanstreet in the City of London which hath
been chargeable to the said Parish and is still likely so
to continue Therefore we whose Hands and hereunto
sett Two of His Maties Justices of the Peace for the said
City and Liberties thereof (Quor unus) and both of us
resideing next unto the Limitts where the Parish Church
of the said Parish of St. Stephen in Colemanstreet standeth
having upon the Complaint of the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish taken upon us the hearing &
Examination of the said Cause Do find upon the Exaiacon
of the said Elizabeth Kellum< no role > taken upon her Oath and other
Circumstances That Thomas Palmey< no role > living at Dagenham
Breach in the County of Essex Victualler is the reputed
Father of the said Female Bastard Child Whereupon
wee do adjudge That the said Female Bastard Child was
born in the said Parish of St. Stephen Colemanstreet and
is become chargeable thereunto And that the said Thomas
Palmey is the reputed Father of the said Female Bastard
Child And wee do Order That the said Thomas Palmey the
reputed Father of the said Female Bastard Child shall on
sight of this our Order pay or cause to be paid unto the Church-
-Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Stephen
Coleman Street or to one of them the Sume of Five Pounds
Fourteen Shillings and Ten Pence of lawfull money of Great
Brittain so much being by them already Expended & disbursed
for and towards the maintenance of the said Female Bastard
Child & other incident Charges And that he the said Thomas
Palmey shall also weekly and every weeke from and after the
Date hereof so long as the said Female Bastard Child shall be
chargeable to the said Parish pay or cause to be paid unto the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the same Parish or to
one of them the Sume of Two Shillings and Six Pence of the
lawfull money for and towards the keeping & Maintenance of
the said Female Bastard Child In Witness whereof wee the
said Justices of the Peace have hereunto sett our Hands
this Tenth day of Aprill Anno Dui 1722 .
