The humble Petition of the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of St Giles without Cripplegate
London
Sheweth
That one
Edward Baker< no role >
being an Inhabitant in the said
Parish of St Giles without Cripplegate and of Sufficient ability
to maintain his wife and Family notwithstanding which
the said
Edward Baker< no role >
doth neglect and refuse to provide
for and maintain his wife insomuch that she is now become
chargeable the said parish your Petrs being of ten forced
to releive her otherwise She must have been reduced to the
greatest want
Your Petitioners therefore most humbly pray Yor
Honr and Worpps will be pleased to hear them in the
prmisses and make such order that the said Edward
Baker< no role >
may be obliged to maintain his said wife so that
your Petrs may be discharged from any further
charge in releiving the said Edward Baker< no role >
