Tho Abney< no role >

WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Anne in Blackfryers
London, That John Dixon< no role > and Katherine < no role > his wife
are now residing in
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto by reason of their poverty and the said
John Dixon< no role > Lameness unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said John Dixon< no role >
that about sixteen years ago he served his apprnticeship
with one Mr. Nathaniel Larkin< no role > a Painter in Bucklers
Bury in the Pish of St. Mary Wollchurch London
and since by any means whatsoever did
not obtain any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said John Dixon< no role > and Katherine
his wife to be in the said
Parish of St. Mary Woolchurch London and
that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the said John Dixon< no role > and
Katherine< no role > his wife
from and out of your said Parish of St. Anne Blackfryer
London, to the said Parish of St. Mary Woolchurch
London and them leave with the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the third
Day of October Anno Domini 1721 .
