The Examination and confession of Durrant
Eustace
< no role > taken before me one of his Maties
Justices of the Peace for the City of
London

This Examinant confesseth and Saith That on
Wednesday the 13th Day of this instant April
one George Crooke< no role > a Porter name to this Examint
at his house near butcher hall Lane telling
him that one Mr George Davis< no role > did desire to
Speake with him that Examinant and accordingly
this Examinant went with the said Crooke the
porter and came to the said Davis and imediately
they all three went to the Castle Tavern in
Lombard Street where they stayed some time
with one Barker an acquaintance of the
said Davis, some time afterwards this Examinant
together with the said George Davis< no role > , the said Barker
and George Crooke the Porter metal the Swan
Tavern in Ludgate Street where there was
some talk between the said Davis and Barker
about three hundred and odd pounds but to say
directly the contents of the said Discoursewas
this Examinant cannot charge his memorcy
with, And this Examinant further Confesseth
and Saith That after that they had Stayed some
time at the Swan Tavern aforesaid he this Examint
together with the said Davis and Crooke took their
leave of Barker [..] but before their depart [..]
It was agreed that when he this Examinants Should
come to the said Barker for the said three hundred
and odd pounds it Should be paid to this Examinant
who was to sent it to the said George Davis< no role > And
