the Second day of September
1719
This Examinant Saith that on Fryday the fourteenth day
of August last he this Examinant hired a Horse in
Drury lane
& rode out of Town & between Hammersmith
and Brentford
overtook two other persons on Horseback
Whose Name werevizt William Stevenson< no role >
And
Constable and proceeded with then to Longford
where
they drank together & then returned back to Hounslow heath
where they rode up & down for four or five hours and
at four a Clock the next morning being Saturday they
mett with a Stage Coach upon the said Heath And this
Examinant further Saith tha the Said Constable gave
this Examinant a Couple of Pistolls and then they all
rode up to the said Coach wherein were three or four persons
And this Examinant and the Said Constable presented
their Pistolls to the Coachman & the said Stevenson drew
out his hanger & they bidd the Coachman Stop Upon Which
Some Persons in or about ye Coach Shott this Examinants
Horse dead under him And then the said Constable took
this Examinant up behind him & so procured his Escape &
then they rode Cross the Countrey to Stanenow
& thence
to London
