Elizabeth Perigall< no role > Wife of Gideon Perigall< no role > of Clerkenwell Green in the
County of Middx Watchmaker maketh Oath That the was in the dwelling hous
of John Baptist hall< no role > in Drapers Court in Princes Street London in the Month of
October last when Mary Green< no role > now Mary Hall< no role > was Felloniously Ravished by
Stephen Biss< no role > Esqr as she the said Mary Green< no role > did the next Morning declare to
this Depont. And this Deponent did see the said Stephen Biss< no role > Esqr and one
Elizabeth Powell< no role > go into the Room where the said Mary Green< no role > was Ravished
And did in about an hours time after their Entring into the said Room hear the
said Green cry out for a long time together for help And this Deponent did
run up Stairs & endeavoured to come to her Assistance but found the Door lock it
and the Key took within side the said Door so that this Depont could not get in
And this Dept Saith That she knows the said Stephen Biss< no role > very well and the
said Elizabeth Powell< no role > also but did at the time the said Mary Green< no role > cry'd out
think the said Biss and Powell virtuous good people else she had got the
Door broken open by a Constable And this Deponent Saith the hath
since inquired into the Character of the said Elizabeth Powell< no role > an dye
informed & believes she makes it her practice to Entice Young Woman
in Order to be debauched by Gentleman And this Deponent Sayth That the
Said Elizabeth Powell< no role > did Declare to this Depont That the sd. Biss did in her
Presence at the time of the sd Outcry debauch & lye with the sd Green And this
Dept further Sayth that she enquired of the said Powell where the said Biss
lived in Order to have Satisfaction of him for the Rape comitted on the said
Green But the said Powell would not discover but pretended to ruin this
Depont & the said Green Saying she ye said Green had gave the sd Biss
the foul Disease And that the said Biss had the foul Disease of which
she Declared she thought he would never be cured And that she the said
Powell was his Nurse and took care to give him the Physick for the foul
Disease that it might not come to his wifes Ears
