for the Said County this 28th day of
August Anno dom 1716
Who Sayth upon his Oath that last night he. was watching
a Lighter full of Deales, lyeing near St Pauls Wharfe
and he went up to drink to an ale house near the wharfe
and when this Informant went back to his lighter there
was another Lighter lyeing along Side and this Informant
perceiv'd a man carrying Dealer from out of the lighter
which he watch'd upon which he cald to him And then
the man putt his lighter of and went downe the River
Men this Informant cald a Sculler and pursued him
through bridge toe he came over against the Shipp the
Dealer first ware taken out and then this Informant
[..] cal'd to the men of the Shipp, upon which
he that was in the lighter began to have the Deales
over board and this Informant Sayth that there was
Severall Dealer Stol'n out of the Said Lighter by the
Said man who cal's himselfe Joseph Mark< no role >
's and
that the Deales belong to Me Astel and Mr Bugley
