Wee the Grand Jury Sworn and Charged to enquire for our Sovereign Lord
the King and the Body of the City of London at Guildhall on Monday the
Second Day of July Anno Dm 1716 And in the second Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the Grace of God King of Great
Britain Etc. do present as followeth.

We think it an Indispensible Duty Incumbant upon us at this time to lay before this
Honoble Court our hearty desire and Earnest Inclinations of Contributing to that Visible
and happy encrease of Loyally and Obedience to our most Sovereign Lord King George
and his Royal Family and the due Execution of the Law against all Such who by their
Vile Practices and evil Examples endeavour to Corrupt and Seduce the minds of all his
Majesties best Subjects. from their true and Lawful Obedience by Writing
Printing and Publishing Scandalous and Seditious Libels highly Reflecting upon
the King and Government The Grand Incendiaries of Rebellion and Famenters
of all those unhappy Divisions and Aminosities amongst us.

Amongst others Unknown We do Present the Author Printer & Publisher
of a Scandalous & Seditious new Weekly paper Intituled. The Shift Shifted or
Weekly Remarks and Political Reflections upon the most Material
