This Informant saith that betweene nine and ten of the clock
this morning as he was standing at his Masters door he saw
a Gentleman
(whose name he is since Informed is Matthew

) standing up and leaning agt a Piller at the
fore late in Doctors Comons and after he had stayed come
small time he saw another Gentleman (where name
he is since Informed is Nicholas Smith< no role >
) come up to him
and after they had whisper'd together they went further
into the Comons and then turnd to one another and gave
reproachfull language to each other whereupon they
senFled together with their Fists and in the sen Fled

Cane falling from him he thereupon
drew his Sword, and then the said Matthew Constantine
imediately drew his sword and thereupon they engaged
with their drawne swords, and after they had pushed at
each other for some small time He saw Nicholas Smith< no role >
push the said Matthew Constantine into the side with her
drawne sword whereupon the said Matthew Constantine
after he had attempted to push at the said Nicholas Smith< no role >
for some little time fell downe upon the Ground And
this Deponent James Ripley< no role >
saith that Imediately after the said
Matthew Constantine had received the aforesaid wound
he saw the Surgeonattedresse the said wound but the
sd Matthew Constantine was then dead
