the complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poore
of the Parish of St. Buttolph without Bishopsgate

That one

is come lately into the said

his wife
endeavouring to settle there without
giveing notice in writing to the Sd Churchwardens and Overseers
of the poore or to any of them of the house of his abide & number
of his Family in the said Parish as by Law required, and
it appears unto us that by reason of the poverty of the said

, he & his sd. wife are likely to become
chargeable to the said Parish, And whereas it appears
unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of the sd.

That about Twenty Eight years agoe he went to and lived in the
Parish of St. Buttolph without Aldgate
in the County of Middx
and continued there for Seaven or Eight yeares then next following,
and wee doe not find upon a Strict Examinacon that hee hath
obtained any other legall Settlement since, wherefore wee the
sd. Justices doe deeme & adjudge the sd Pish of St. Buttolph
without Aldgate
in the County of Middx to be the place of
last legall Settlemt. of the sd.
