The humble Peticon of the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poore
of the Severall Parishes of St. Gyles without Cripplegate St. Buttolph
without Aldgate St. Andrews Mardrobe St Katherine Coleman St Andrew
Holborne St Sepulchers St. Brides Alhallowes on the Wall St. Buttolph
Aldersgate & St Buttolph without Bishoppsgate

Sheweth

That yor. Petrs. are very much over burthened with Poore & not able to Raise Sufficient
Sumes & money amongst themselves to releive them notwithstanding their Assessments
are greater than heretofore Yet the Charge of their poor is farr above their
Assessments As the same upon full Examination dath divers tymes appeared to
Severall worthy Aldermen of this City appointed to hear the same And their
poor daily encreasing upon them their said Parishes lyeing some of them
near the Suburbes & others of them in the Suburbes of this City

Their humble suites therefore unto yor. good Honors. & Worll.
is That you will be favourably pleased to grant unto them
the Contributions of other Parishes within this City for
and towards the Releiving their poor As they have formerly
had which are pticularly hereunder menconed Or such further
Allowance As to yor. Honor. & Worpps. shall seeme meete
