Justices of ye Peace In the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace
Assembled

The humble Petition and Appeale of the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poore of the Parish of Casehorton In
the County of Surry

Sheweth


That by virtue of a Warrant under the hands and Seales of twoe of Her Maties.
Justices of the peace within the City of London One being of the Quor bearing
date the 26th. October last One Richard Scrugnall with his Wife and Five
Children was by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poore of the Parish
of St Buttolph without Bishoppsgate in London Sent to yor. Petr to be provided
for upon the Oath of the said Richard Strugnall< no role > This name instance is in set 16460. That hee lived an hired Servant
by the Yeare for the Space of One whole Yeare and Upwards with one Mr.
Edward Carleton< no role > In yor. Petr. Parish Whereas in Truth the said Mr.
Edward Carleton< no role > Richard Strungnall< no role > never was a legally Settled Inhabitant in yor Petrs. Parish

Wherefore yor. Petrs. humbly Pray yor. Honor. & Worpps. to
heare them in the prmisses And Order the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poore of the said Parish of St. Buttolph wth. out
Bishoppsgate London to Appeare here before You And to Shew
cause why the said Warrant made by the said twoe Justices
should not be Quashed And the said Richard Strugnall< no role > This name instance is in set 16460. with
his wife and 5 Children sent to the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poore of the said Parish of St. Buttolph without
Bishoppsgate To be by them provided for and maintained
untill They can Free themselves of the Charge thereof by due
course of Law
