Indicted in this Honoble. Court for Assaulting and
maining Willus Cockroft< no role > gent This Depon't went
to on friday the thirteenth instant to Serve with a
Spa Mr. Thomas Bond< no role > a Mercer on of Ludgate hill who
is a materiall Witnesse far this Depont but was
then informd that ye. Sd. Mr. Bond was out of
above an hundred miles town & was again informd this morning that the sd.

Mr. Bond is not yet returned. And this Depont.
further maketh Oath that the Sd. Mr. [..]
Cockrift did formerly being an Accon in her Majties.
Court of Queens Bench for the Same Assault and
Maike me for wch. this Depont. now Stands Indicted
Which Accon was tryed before the Right honoble.
Sr. John Holt< no role > Knt . Lord Cheife Justice of the Sd.
Court & a verdict passed for this Depont. The Sd.
Mr. Bond being then a Witnesse at the Sd tryal
& without his Evidence this Deponts. is advised & verily beleives yt. [..] cannot
safely take his tryall in this Cause.
