maketh Oath that about the mouth of Decembers
last in the yeare of ours Lord one thousand six hundred ninty one,
five That she this Depont being in Company with one John King< no role >
heard
the said John King< no role >
declare And att Sewall other times did Say in this
Dependable heareing and in perticular just before the Deft Wilkinson
first Cryall which was about the Month of December aforesaid that the
Deft Wilkinson was innocent of the matters [..] paid to that
her Charge about the forgery of Sewall letters of Attorney for which she
was then pfeated as the Child unborne and that if occasion required
be coulds Deposit or take a very safe Path of it And the Depont further
for theSayeth that she beleives that Mr Rawlins and his Wife
have a greate
deale of wallies agt the Deft Wilkinson for that she this Depont heard
the said Mr Rawlins and his Wife threaten the Deft Wilkinson Saying
that if the Deft did not present them with a Birdcage and other things of
a considerable vallard it should cost them twenty lymes as much And
this Depont further sayth that she heard Mr Rawlins and his Wife often
say that the Deft Wilkinson was wholly innocent of what was laid to her
charge but what they did they were found to doe and this Depont says that
Mrs Rawlins confessed to this Depont that Mr Whitakers declared since
the Deft first Cry all that if the Deft Wilkinson had but came to him
the said Whitakers and prsented them with about thirty [..] or forty
pounds she the said Deft Wilkinson should neice have him presented
and that the Deft had feathers to pull & that he the said Whitake
would pluck them for now it should cost the Deft Wilkinson three
hundred pounds or to that Effect
