The Informacon of Mary

this 28th day of March 1695

As followeth!

That about Lady day was two years one Samuel
Kingstone
< no role > a person who lived incontinently
with Mary Read< no role > came to her house and
took lodgings therein where ye said Kingstone
and Read lived together as man and wife
for ye space of half a year, and ye departed
and about Lady day last was twelve moneth
the said Kingstone and Read came again
to this informant house and there lodged
together again as man and wife and so
continued till the 18th [..] December last
or thereabout in which time this Informant very me
observeing the said Mary Read< no role > did verily
beleive she was with Child and yt when
she left ye said lodging she apprehended
She might be near ye time of her delvidy.
in some little time after about three weeks
or a moneth ago a dead new born Child
was found in a Coffin at the Sign of the
fifteen Crowns in Lambeth, as this Informt:
was told by the Church Wardens of ye said
Parish who came to Search of in her Sd
house;(this informant was told yt after ye said
Mary Read< no role > last left [..] She to
this is all of this Informant which [..]
hereof
) And further this Informant Saith
not.
