Forasmuch as wee thankfully Acknowledge the great

that out of a Sence of their Duty, have & doe put
the Laws in Execution, to prevent the Judgments of Almighty
God on this City, & in Some good Measure have Supprest,
those Comon Dices, & Immorallitys, among us, which ruins
So many yong men, wch. might prove good Citizens; Yet
wee are Sensible, that in ye out parts of the City Libberty,
there are Sever. Brothell houses, & places of evill resort still
unsupprest. The Lords day prophaned. and of thos ye neglect of Sevll
Constables, the streets have not been Cleared of Nightwalkers,
& Vagrant psons. wch. [..] So destructive to this City, & the
Happiness of it,
