Who Sayeth That on the 14th. of November last Henry
Gore< no role >
Esqr
sent him from the White horse Inn in Fleet Street
to
the Bull Inn in Byshopsgate Street
(together with
his servt. Thomas Mill< no role >
) for A Portmantle Trunk [..]
of goods wth. came out of the Country by Hodsdon
Coach man And when this Informt. and the said Mr
Gores man came to the Crowne in St. Paules Church yard
he went in to deliver A letter of the said Mr Gores and left
the Trunk on the window without and spoke to the
said Mr Gores man to hold his hand on it, till he returned
and this Informt. layd his mans hand on it, but when this Informt.
returned, the said Trunk was gone and the said Mr.
Gores man Stood Gazeing about, And this Informt. askt him
where it was but he could give him no account of it. And
further sayeth not.

before me the day and yeare abovesaid
Who sayeth That on the 14th. of Novembr this Depont.
between Six & Seaven of the Clock at night was at the house
of Margaret Scott< no role >
in Salisbury Court
and one Walter Stevens< no role >
brought in A Portmantle Trunk and said he had got something
worth goeing out for, and when it was opened he saw a Coat
wth. Plate Buttons and diverse other goods therein of Considerable
vallue, and the said [..]

prefered him foure Guineas
for the same, but after they agreed for five pounds And she
gave him A Guinea and other Silver, but whither she paid
him then all or not this Depont. knowes not, but Stevens was
much afraid of the Portmantle Trunk and told this Informt
he would give him 20s. to fling it into the Thames, which
when this Informt. had done, the said Stevens gave him but
10s. wch. this Depont. refuseing to take, the said Margt. Scott
of her owne accord told him she would give him the other ten
shillings, and gave him 9s. and went and fetcht 1s. more and
gave him but what became of the goods he knoweth not.
