The Information of William Emanuels< no role > of No: 180 Newmarket
Street in the Parish of Saint John of Wapping in the said County
and George Forrister< no role > of High Street Sheetwell< no role > Taken before
me lene of his Majesty's Justices of the pence in and for the said
County.

Who being on their Oaths Severally Say and first the saith William Emanuels
for himself Saith that the person now present who calls himself of James Scott< no role >
came to Lodge at his hours on Tuesday the 13th. of [..] saying he was going the next morning to
receive the Run Money (being Ten Guineas) for the Ship Alexander from
Jamaica< no role > , That he Lodged there that night, and the next morning went
out soon after which he was Informant ley Thomas Smith< no role > another of his
Lodges that he had lossed a Pair of Silver Buckles, and Informant together
with said Smith having great [..] Reason to Suspect said Scott had
Stolen the sand he was apprehended on Suspicion that night by Informant
said Smith and Thomas Os borne and as they were bringing him to the
Office at Shadwell they Stopped at the Couch and News, and in Comming from
thence to the Office he went on his know Consessed that he had taken the
Buckles and Sold them to a Silver smith in the Minories for One Guinea
Saith that the next day he this Informant together with George Forcis Servard
Smith and prisoner Scott went in a Couch to the [..] first Silver smiths beyond
Rosemary Lane in the Menories where Prisoner declared that was the Shop
where he had sold saint Buckles which he [..] declared he had seen
in the Window if the said Shop immediately after he had Sold the same
And the said George Foreester< no role > for himself Saith that on Thursday last he was
present at the Examination of the above named James Scott< no role > and Alpon his being
Ordered to be Searched said Scott [..] took out of his Pocket Seven Shillings and
fourpence half penny which he Sayed was the remainder of the Money [..]
[..] which he had received for the Burkles, Saith that he was went the same day in the Court
with Informant Emanuel Prosecuter Smith and prisoner Scott to the Silversmith
in the [..] Menories, That Scott as they were going along Confessed he had
Stole the Buckles and Sold them to the [..] smith abovementioned for one Guinea
