The Information of Robert Fish< no role > taken upon Oath
the 13th. Day of August 1789

Who upon his Oath saith that he lives the Corner of
Castle Street Long Acre that the Prisoner David Jones< no role > came
to his Shop about eight o Clock in the Evening on the 12th. Day
of August Instant & said he came by the order of Mr. Kearsley
a Cheesmonger in Broad Street Bloomsbury for a Firkin
of Butter which the Corman had made a Mistake in
delivering it not being so good as he cod. wish and therefore
wished to send a better as otherwise it might hurt him
amongst his Customers upon which the said Robert Fish< no role >
to him that when Mr. Keasley sent another Firkin he wod.
return that which he hadThe Prisoner then went away
& returned again in about an Hour and told the sd. Robert
Fish
< no role > that Mr. Keasall wod. be glad if he wod. let him have
the Firkin of Butter before mentioned for he wanted
to send the same to another Person upon wch. he let the Prisoner
take it but suspecting the Prisoner did not come by Mr.
Kaysalls Order or Knowledge he followed him & observing
the Prisoner instead of going to Mr. Kaysalls went the
contrary Road he took him into Custody & made him go
to Mr. Kaysalls Shop and upon Inquiry of Mr. Kaysalls
Servants they none of them knew him except his Man
who drives the sd. Mr. Kaysalls Cart & Horses who told him
the Prisoner had followed the Cart about the Streets past
of the Day
