Ovens

and Thomas Carpmeal< no role > of Bow Street Covent Garden
taken before me this 27th. day of August 1787

Who being upon Oath say and first the said Prudence Orten says that on Thursday and Friday last she
this Informant packed up in two Boxes a Quantity of Wearing Apparel
apair of Stone [..] Shoe Buckles a silver Pen, a pair of Scissars a small
Quanity of Lacetwo pair of Ear Rings, a Pocket Book two braids
of Hair a Quantity of Cocoa a Glass and a piece of pinked silk
That on Saturday morning last she this Informant went with a
Porter to the Green Man and Still in Oxford Road where she
caused said two Boxes to be booked to go by the Stourbridge
Waggon directed to Mrs. Badger Stourbridge Worcestershire
and left the sameAnd the said George Turtle< no role > says that yesterday morning
about half part 8 Clock as he was attending his Hackney Coach in
Piciadilly a Man called him and desired him to draw up to the
foot Pavementthat three person now present who call themselves
William Bransky< no role > William Lamb< no role > and Charles Stokes< no role > then got
in, having with them a large Bundle tied in a silk Handkerchief
That after having put said Bundle into his Coach one of
them ordered him to drive them to Fox Court Grays Inn
Lane , which he did, and sat them down at the end of Fox
Court when they got out taking said Bundle with them
and paid him his fare of eighteen penceAnd the said Moses
Murrant
< no role > for himself says that yesterday morning between the hours
of nine and ten oClock be in Company with said Townsend
Shallard Carpmeal and other Officers went to the Footman in
Writing Alehouse in Fox Court Grays Inn Lane kept Daniel Hopkins< no role > where he saw said
