The Information of Usher Simon< no role > of No. 1
Meeting House Yard Gravel Lane Hounsditch
Dealer in Cloths , Joseph Saunders< no role > of Black
Lyon Yard white chapel Dealer in Cloths
and Thomas Ting< no role > of Lombard Street Saint
Giles's Labourer taken before me this 7th.
day of September 1787 .

Who being upon Oath say and first the said When Simon
says that between 10 and 11 o'Clock this morning as he was coming up
Saint John Street , he was Met by a Person now present who calls
himself John Dene< no role > who asked him if he wanted to buy any
whites, that Informant called to Joseph Saunders< no role > to know what
Dene mean't by Whites, who Informant him it was Bad Money
that Informant walked with said Dene to a Court near Saint
John Square when Dene desired him to go into a Public House
and get a pint of Beer and he would come to him, that in
about 20 Minutes time said Dene come in, when Informant
told him he had no Money but would meet him in an hour
that [..] he met him at the sign of the Red Lyon at Cow Cross
when Informant bought the 16 Shillings and 30 six pences now Produced for
a Guinea of the said Dene and 4 other shillings which the said Dene gave
him for his trouble; And the said Joseph Saunders< no role > says that
he was called tohimby Usher Simon< no role > now present who asked
him what white's was, that Informant told him it was Bad
Money that he saw Dene and Simon go into a Public House
together whom he Immediately followed, that said Dene and
Usher went out together that in about 20 Minutes Simon
returned and said that Dene had Bad Shillings to sell and
would give him 30 shillings for a Guinea, that Informant
and Simon then made application to the Officers in Bow Street
and returned back to said Dene, that Informant stood at the
