Stay till he returned, and went out but returned immediately
and requested Informants Mother to lend her six pence which
She did-That said Davis then went to the Door of the Magpye
and Horse Shoe Alehouse just by where she joined [..] a
person now present who calls himself John Rowsewell< no role >
with whom she went into said Public House-That before
this Informants Father return from Market she observed
the Prisoner Rowsewell walk backwards and forwards
before her Father House several times and go into said
Public House and before her Fathers return said Mary Davis< no role >
frequently came to ask if her said Father was come back
And the said Moses Murrant< no role > for himself saith that on Monday
Morning last he apprehended. the Prisoner Rowsewell
near the House of said Granger in Holborn -And the said
Catherine Stead< no role > for herself says that she is the Wife of William< no role >
Sworn before me thisStead of the Horse Shoe and Magpye
in 2nd day of March 1787}in Holborn that between 9 & 10
o Clock on Monday morning last John Granger< no role > now present
came into her House and pointing to a Man and Woman then
sitting and drinking in her House together asked her if she
knew them, she replied "No" that said Granger then told
Informant that the Woman had brought two Geese to his
House which he suspected were Stolen-That he was
going to Bow Street to get Assistance to Seane them and
requested this Informant would notice said Man and
